Gavin

Gavin thinks that if he checks his mail at 3 o'clock in the morning, nobody will notice. This is not true, of course. Gavin runs a shop where he sells them here little action bicycles, as well as all the k3wl gear the kiddies need to wear whilst riding these colourful two-wheelers. This can't be the most profitable of enterprises: Gavin declares his income on MySpaz as "less than £30,000" -- thank you for that Gav.

When Gavin is not riding or selling bikes, he plays Guitar Heroes. Now I have heard of that, but unfortunately my aging brain has let go of the info again. Probably wasn't very important.

Gavin is using a wireless-enabled iPod to access the internet. There's been quite a few of these gadgets connecting now. I didn't even know they existed, but Google soon illuminated me. In August 2006 Apple still denied having plans for a wireless iPod, but in September 2007 they were unleashed up the British consumer market. The Telegraph reported on this momentous occasion: (source: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1562209/Apple-unveils-new-wireless-iPod-Touch.html)

Speaking from his company’s headquarters in San Francisco, California, Steve Jobs, chief executive and founder of Apple joked that his company’s new iPod was "one of the seven wonders of the world".

"This is the revolution in how to enjoy your music," he said.

The device was unveiled in a launch broadcast live from California to eager Apple enthusiasts and journalists around the world. Every new announcement was met with whoops and cheers.

This is one of the reasons why I hate Apple so much: "whoops and cheers". It really is a Whoops and Cheers company. Everything I read about Apple reminds me of Amway. The furious enthusiasm displayed by Apple consumers on the various blogs and bulletin boards gives me the shivers; I truly cannot understand how an individual can feel such dedication to a company. It's not like they're being paid by Apple to use these products now, is it?

Gavin, then, the White Caucasian 31-year-old Freeloader from Derby. Welcome to the Network!
